Erewash CCG - our funding heroes...

Please take a few minutes to read the following - which has been published on the Littlewick Medical Centre website - it is hilarious - our heroes, also known as 'Erewash CCG' have won extra funding for us all... See if you can spot the catch...

Extended Hours!
As from 4th February 2013 we are offering extra surgery times on some evenings and at weekends.
This is happening in Ilkeston and Long Eaton because the Erewash CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) has been successful in bidding for extra government money. This is temporary funding aimed at easing "winter pressures" - trying to reduce attendances at hospitals and hospital admissions for this winter only. We are fortunate that at Littlewick, through the commitment of all our staff, we have been able to offer these extra appointments so soon after the funding has been announced.
The funding for the extra surgeries will finish at the end of March 2013 so our extra surgeries will finish then too, when demand should be lower and the pressure on GP appointments a little less. In the meantime we hope it will be easier for you to get appointments at a time when more people are likely to be ill.
Our extended hours surgeries are;
Wednesday and Thursday - 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Saturday and Sunday - 8:30am - 10:30am
These are in addition to our normal extended hours that are on Mondays and Tuesday and are pre-bookable only.

YES, THAT'S RIGHT, THE EXTRA APPOINTMENT TIMES ARE TO BE OFFERED FOR JUST ONE MONTH!  WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE.  AND SO WHAT HAPPENS AT END OF MARCH 2013?  YES, THAT'S RIGHT - NOTHING.
